Default Guide to running Ascalon to Beacons Perch

Hi, first off I'm not sure whether this should go here or Riverside Inn, so if this is the wrong place sorry. Anyway...

Hey I was just thinking about starting to taxi from Ascalon to Beacons Perch. I know I've used this run a heap of times, so is there any guides/screens/tips/maps for the run? If there is, could I please get a link?

Thanks!

What you should do is to run it yourself a few times and see what/where etc. It's not that hard if you're a level 20.

just try it a few times, do each leg at a time, if you want, offer it as a free run that isn't guarenteed. the hardest parts will be travelers veil and iron horse mines cause of the ice golems hex's and cripple from the rangers. other than that, its a pretty easy run.

also if you can make it to beacons, might as well try for the full run to LA. its just a few ettins and mergoyals farther.

I do it for my guildies, it not that hard. I have a few Dervish builds that can make it and a monk build, also know an Assassin could do it.

Problem is that it is a really really really long run with a wide varity of mobs, you might need to change build half way.

Other problem is service, its not really a high demand, so you could spend ages attempting to get a full group. I would suggest you do a Ascalon to Lions Ach with Beacons as a stop, you might get a few more people, and ofcourse charge extra for LA.

If your smart your could also do a full Tyria ascension run.

A warrior utiliziing all prophecies skills can run this without changing any skills.

I forget the skills I used because it has been so long, but it was something like;

Charge
Sprint
Holy Veil
Remove Hex
Purge Signet
Mending
Healing Signet
Balanced Stance

Something like that. I am pretty sure you dont need all 8 skills.

I'm thinking a Ranger/Monk with Dwarven Stability, Escape, Dodge, Zojun's Haste, Mending Touch, Cure Hex, Mending, Healing Breeze?

That can run in most places pretty easily.

If you have the outposts on the way, it should be easy. Nobody is going to make a guide for an easy area like that. The paths are simple, and if you got to the point where you're considering doing runs, you know how to stay alive.

its about the easiest run in the game. honestly the ascalon area is the hardest. its hard to navigate, there are lots of inviable walls, and enemies body block you alot.

Okay thanks for all that. I know its not too hard, I was just wondering if anyone had a map route for it, but I can just easily figure that out for myself. Cheers for that guys.

It all straight follow the path stuff until Iron horse mine, you can get lost there. And there are two paths, one is longer and harder. But you should be able to make it.

its likely they could but there not always the fastest or the best, a Derv is way faster and stable.
A real notice of the changing of time, can't remember the last time someon suggested a warrior for running

hehe it was prolly pre nightfall that warriors were popular runners. I use my monk to run the ascalon to LA run, with how easy spellbreaker makes it i can imagine that vow of silence would be even easier run.

Its an easy as run, i prefer using a ranger to run it becasue of its speed and surivability when coupled with a monk secondary, but Sins, Warrios, Monks and Dervs can all make the run fine. Just take it step by step, change your build as you go to to start with, once you know the route, and where certain groups of enemies are it should be a peice of cake.
